About Vedanta Desika
Vedanta Desika was the most brilliant Guru of Sri Vaishnavism in the post-Ramanuja period. He was a Mathematician, Devotee, Philosopher, Logician, Poet and Master of Acharyas (Desikan). He was the disciple of Kidambi Appullar, also known as Swami Vedanta Desika is considered to be an avatar of the divine bell of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumalai.
Vishistaadvaita Vedanta is a philosophical and theological school. This is as an independent school connected to Ramanujacharya. Aathreya Ramanujachariar was a master-disciple that began with Ramanuja. Vedanta Desika was the disciple of Aathreya Ramanujachariar. Desika is a Sanskrit word which means “Acharya” or Teacher.
